Same question here.Is that all? if yes, I think thats awesome! you are fighting for survival... what are you doing with a chest of gold in the midle of nowhere? youd better start building a big ship!

Loved it. As it is, I do not think any shortcut would improve it at all.
I think nights,not saveable, paper maps [not gps], and limited autonomy dependant on plantations and orientation are the very key of the game.
For orientation I set marks both with shovel on the ground and the orientation of the cut logs.
My suggestion: maybe some end titles when finding the treasure? but I also liked the strange feeling of nothing happening: "ok, you got yout trasure but still stranded in a blody island living on turnips... forever"
